Dear Esteemed Colleagues,

I am pleased to extend a warm welcome to aa of you in the 17th Asia Oceania Congress of Nuclear Medicine and Biology & 57th Annual Conference of the Society of Nuclear Medicine India, hosted by the Society of Nuclear Medicine, India (SNMI), to be held in the historic and intellectually vibrant city of Chennai. This distinguished conference offers an unparalleled platform for scientific exchange, where global leaders in the field of nuclear medicine will present their cutting-edge research, groundbreaking technologies, and clinical advancements. As in past years, the program is meticulously curated, featuring thought-provoking symposia, high-level lectures, and interactive sessions that aim to foster scholarly dialogue and push the frontiers of knowledge.

The theme of this year’s conference, "Theranostic Nuclear Medicine for Everyone, Everywhere", reflects the transformative potential of integrating diagnostic and therapeutic capabilities in the field of Nuclear Medicine. Theranostics – the personalised approach that combines targeted therapy with real-time diagnostics – has revolutionised the treatment of a wide range of diseases, particularly in oncology and personalised medicine. This theme underscores our collective commitment to ensuring that the benefits of theranostic innovations are accessible globally, regardless of geographic or economic barriers. Through this conference, we aim to foster discussions on how to expand the reach and impact of theranostic technologies, ensuring that they are available to all patients, everywhere. We look forward to exploring new frontiers in this rapidly evolving field and advancing our shared vision for a future where precision medicine is within reach of every patient, everywhere.

We eagerly anticipate your participation in what promises to be a highly enriching academic experience.

Warm regards

Dr B.R. Mittal
